Valpolicella Ripasso, Casa Defrà 2017

Medium ruby with a garnet rim. Complex with notes of black cherries, black plums, and jammy red fruits. Accompanied by sweet spice including cinnamon and vanilla. Balsamic undertones with leather and mushroom notes too. Intense flavours of very ripe red and black fruits such as jam and bramble jelly. Also chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, and licorice. Balanced acidity, fine tannins, and a long finish.
